Welcome to Ahmadi Answers

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the only Islamic organization to believe that the long-awaited Messiah has come in the person of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) (1835-1908) of Qadian. Ahmad(as) claimed to be the metaphorical second coming of Jesus(as) of Nazareth and the divine guide, whose advent was foretold by the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad(saw). We believe that according to the Qur’an and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad(saw) it is clear that the latter day messiah would be an imam from amongst the Muslims. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community believes that God sent Ahmad(as), like Jesus(as), to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and re-institute morality, justice and peace. Ahmad(as)’s advent has brought about an unprecedented era of Islamic revival. He divested Islam of fanatical beliefs and practices by vigorously championing Islam’s true and essential teachings.

The Heavenly Graveyard

Firstly one has to understand that the institution of this heavenly graveyard was a prophecy of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw).

There is a Prophecy in regards to the latter day Messiah recorded in Sahih Muslim which states:

يُحَدِّثُهُمْ بِدَرَجَاتِهِمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ

“would inform them of their ranks in Paradise” (Sahih Muslim, Book 54, Hadith #136)

The way this beautiful prophecy was fulfilled, was with the Heavenly Graveyard. Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) said:

Some twenty to twenty-five minutes before the time of the (Fajr) Prayer, I saw in a dream as if I had purchased a piece of land for the purpose of converting it into a graveyard for our Jama‘at. I was told that its name would be Maqbarah Bahishti, meaning that whoever is buried there would be admitted to Paradise. Then I saw that some old gospels had been discovered in Kashmir which would break the cross. I proposed that some persons should go there and bring those gospels so that a book could be written about them. Hearing this Maulavi Mubarak ‘Ali declared his readiness to go but requested that a place should be kept for him in the Maqbarah Bahishti. I said: Khalifah Nur-ud-Din should also be sent with him….

The Promised Messiah(as) continued: Sometime back I had planned that there should be a separate graveyard for our Jama‘at. God has now approved of my plan. Injil [Gospel] means good news. It would seem that God intends to manifest some great news from Kashmir and that the person who would carry through this task would certainly enter Paradise. (Tadhkirah Page 566, [al-Badr, vol. 1, no. 5 and 6, November28 and December 5, 1902, p. 35 and al-Hakam, vol. 6, no. 42, November 24, 1902, p. 4] )

This graveyard itself was the fulfillment of the Prophecy. Ahmad(as) states:

The third condition is that a person who seeks burial in this graveyard should be righteous and should refrain from all that is forbidden and should not indulge in anything which has a smattering of associating others with God or of an innovation. He should be a true and plain Muslim. Every righteous person who possesses no property and can render no financial assistance can be given burial in this graveyard if it is proved that he had devoted his life to the faith and was in every way a righteous …….

It would not he enough to contribute one tenth of moveable and immovable property but it would be necessary that the testator should, as far as is possible for him, act upon Islamic commandments and should strive after righteousness and purity and should have sincere faith in the Holy Prophet and should not contravene the rights of his fellow creatures. (Al-Wassiyyat, p.24)

The means of this was not only in regards to financial matters, rather of living a life full of purity and righteousness.

There is no allegation against this which can possibly exist. There is nothing wrong with a prophet conveying good news of paradise to their followers. It is narrated in Bukhari:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

That heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying, “We are the last but will be the foremost to enter Paradise).” The Prophet added, “He who obeys me, obeys Allah, and he who disobeys me, disobeys Allah. He who obeys the chief, obeys me, and he who disobeys the chief, disobeys me. The Imam is like a shelter for whose safety the Muslims should fight and where they should seek protection. If the Imam orders people with righteousness and rules justly, then he will be rewarded for that, and if he does the opposite, he will be responsible for that.”(Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 52, Hadith #204)

He(saw) also conveyed the news of Paradise to ten of his companions which is clearly known to many Muslims as the Ashra Mubasharah. The Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) also initiated a graveyard called Jannatul Baquee which means the heavenly graveyard as well. The graveyard initiated by the Promised Messiah(as) was the outcome of divine revelation by Allah and a fulfillment of the hadith of Sahih Muslim. There is no possible objection against this.

Gradual Claims of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as)

The allegation against the Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) is that why was he first the mujadid and slowly after that his claim increased. The anti Ahmadis try to state that because his claim was increasing, this means he was lying, God forbid. The non Ahmadis try to state that Ahmad(as)’s claim increased which means it was from his heart and to a point where he called himself a subordinate prophet. Not only that but even the Promised Guru, and that I am the one who all religions are waiting for.

Now when we look at the Christians, they have the same allegations against the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw). They state that why did the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) first call the people of his house and his relatives and slowly become the prophet for all of mankind. They also suggest that this means he made the claims out of his heart, rather from Allah.

Allah Tells The Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) in regards to his claim :

And warn thy nearest kinsmen (Chapter 26, Verse 215)

Allah did not tell the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) the first time that you are a prophet for the entire mankind, rather to warn your nearest kinsmen. Then after that, Muhammad(saw) was a Prophet for the people around Mecca and the nearing people including the Mushriks of that area. After that the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) was told that he is the prophet for the People of the Book. After this Allah revealed to him:

Say, ‘O mankind! truly I am a Messenger to you all from Allah to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. There is no God but He. He gives life, and He causes death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Prophet, the Immaculate one, who believes in Allah and His words; and follow him that you may be rightly guided.’(Chapter 7, Verse 159)

Here Allah told the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) that he is a prophet for the entire mankind. Allah slowly told the Prophet Muhammad(saw) this, rather than revealing it the very first day. They try to state that this increase means that the Prophet was god forbid a liar, and the non Ahmadi Muslims say the same against the Promised Messiah(as). This is totally baseless.

If someone makes a claim and people reply to him in a harsh way and start to throw rocks at him, would a liar make a greater claim or something smaller? Common sense tells us that if he was a liar, he would, obviously, claim something smaller. A sign of the Prophets is that the Prophets are treated harshly and treated in a horrible manner and this proves there truthfulness. When the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) made his first claim of prophethood, a lot became his enemies. He did not take his claim back, rather Allah revealed to him slowly and after he was told by Allah that he is a prophet for all of mankind, the enemies increased.

The same happened with the Promised Messiah(as), Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as). When he claimed to be the mahdi, death threats began against him. When Allah told him that Isa(as) has died, and he claimed this, people started to set fires in India. When Ahmad(as) claimed Guru Nanak was a Muslim, and the prophecy of a wali which he made was about me, the Sikhs also became opponents. When Ahmad(as) said Krishna(as) preached the message of one God, and I am that latter day reformer he prophesied. This is a sign of his truthfulness, just as the claims of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) prove his truthfulness. The Prophets claims only grow rather than decrease. The Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) was slowly told that he was a prophet for the entire mankind. As time went by, his claim grew, and this was what Allah revealed to him.

If the claims grow slowly, and the opponents grow on each claim, this only proves the truthfulness of the Prophet. Liars would not grow their claims, rather would retrieve them.

The Prophet always follows the revelation of Allah, and they do not make claims on their own. Allah revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw):

Exalted then is Allah, the True King! And be not impatient for the Qur’an ere its revelation is completed unto thee, but only say, ‘O my Lord, increase me in knowledge.’(Chapter 20 Verse 115)

Why would Allah need to teach this prayer to the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw), if he already knew everything? There would be no meaning of this prayer if Muhammad(saw) was taught everything at once.

At first the Prophet Muhammad(saw) did not right away claim to be the Seal of All the Prophets. A hadith states:

Anas b. Malik reported that a person came to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) and said:
O, the best of creation; thereupon Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: He is Ibrahim (peace be upon him).(Sahih Muslim, Book 30, Hadith #5841)

At first, the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) denied being the best of creation. He did not let his companion say this about him. However later on, Allah revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) :

Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets; and Allah has full knowledge of all things.(Chapter 33, Verse 41)
And The Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) stated:

Narrated Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri:

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “I am the chief of the children of Adam on the Day of Judgement and I am not boasting, and in my hand is the banner of praise and I am not boasting, and there has been no Prophet since Adam or other than him, except that he is under my banner. And I am the first for whom the earth will split open, and I am not boasting.” He said: “The people will be frightened by three frights. So they will come to Adam saying: ‘You are our father Adam, so intercede for us with your Lord.’ So he says: ‘I committed a sin for which I was expelled to the earth, so go to Nuh.’ So they will come to Nuh and he will say: ‘I supplicated against the people of the earth, so they were destroyed. So go to Ibrahim.’ So they will go to Ibrahim, and he says: ‘I lied three times.'” Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “He did not lie except defending Allah’s religion.” “So go to Musa.’ So they will come to Musa, and he will say: ‘I took a life. So go to ‘Eisa. So they go to ‘Eisa and he says: ‘I was worshiped besides Allah. So go to Muhammad (ﷺ).'” He said: “So they will come to me, and I will go to them.” (One of the narrators) Ibn Ju’dan said: “Anas said: ‘It is as if I am looking at the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he is saying: “So I will take hold of a ring of a gate of Paradise to rattle it, and it will be said: ‘Who is there?’ It will be said: ‘Muhammad.’ They will open it for me, and welcome me saying, ‘Welcome.’ I will fall prostrate and Allah will inspire me with statements of gratitude and praise and it will be said to me: ‘Raise your head, ask and you shall be given, intercede, and your intercession shall be accepted, speak, and your saying shall be heard.’ And that is Al-Maqam Al-Mahmud about which Allah said: It may be that your Lord will raise you to Maqaman-Mahmud (17:79).” Sufyan said: “None of it is from Anas except this sentence: ‘I will take hold of a ring of a gate of Paradise to rattle it.'”(Jami’at Tirmidhi, Volume 5, Book 44, Hadith #3148)

The news of The Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) being the seal of the prophets was around 18 years after the claim of Prophethood. There is nothing wrong with a claim being gradual, rather Allah reveals in this way. The Promised Messiah, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) was called Isa and a prophet since Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya, however the Muslims at that time did not understand what a prophet was, and believed all prophets brought a law. Because of this, Ahmad(as) did not consider himself a real prophet, rather made an interpretation of it, of being like a prophet. After Allah made it clear to Ahmad(as) that you are a prophet and it was being revealed, as the rain pours, he then claimed prophethood in a subordinate sense. The gradual claim is normal for a prophet and this is the law of Allah.

Naked Dream?

This is another allegation which is brought up by many Non Ahmadi Muslims. They accuse Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) of seeing Muhammadi Begum Naked in a dream and also a man. The dream is as follows about Muhammadi Begum is as follows:

“August 14, 1892 CE, Muharram 20, 1309 AH. I saw in my dream last night that Muhammadi (Begum), concerning whom a prophecy has been made, was sitting with some people in a village rest-house and perhaps her head was shaven and she was naked and she looked very repulsive”([Register of Miscellaneous Memoranda by from the Promised Messiahas, p. 34] ) This entire prophecy was a conditional prophecy and has been answered in depth. The allegation here comes that Ahmad(as) saw Muhammadi Begum naked in a dream, however firstly one has to understand that dreams are interpreted.

The allegation on seeing someone naked is completely full of ignorance as we have seen the same from the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw).

It is stated in Bukhari:

Whenever the fire-flame went up, the people were lifted up to such an extent that they about to get out of it, and whenever the fire got quieter, the people went down into it, and there were naked men and women in it.(Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 23, Hadith #468)

This makes it clear that there is indeed nothing wrong in seeing such a dream which as a meaning behind it. Muhammad(Saw) saw a similar dream were naked women and men were present so if one raises an allegation against Ahmad(as) he is as well against the greatest prophet Muhammad(saw).

Joined Her in Marriage to You and Unmarried or Widow

Now the next revelation they accuse is “we have joined her in marriage to you”. The same has been used in Surah Al Ahzab where Allah states:

And remember when thou didst say to him on whom Allah had bestowed favours and on whom thou also hadst bestowed favours: ‘Keep thy wife to thyself, and fear Allah.’ And thou didst conceal in thy heart what Allah was going to bring to light, and thou wast afraid of the people, whereas Allah has better right that thou shouldst fear Him. Then, when Zaid had accomplished his want of her so as to have no further need of her, We joined her in marriage to thee, so that there may be no hindrance for the believers with regard to the wives of their adopted sons, when they have accomplished their want of them. And Allah’s decree must be fulfilled.(Chapter 33 Verse 38)

The Qur’an shows us that Zainab was married to Muhammad(saw) after she was divorced and became a widow which was the same word revealed to Ahmad(as). This makes it clear that it referred to after she would become a widow if her father and husband does not repent, would marry Promised messiah(as). However, the Husband did indeed repent. Ahmad(as) states:

“And as for the issue that the revelation states that the marriage of Nikah of this woman has been announced with me in the heavens, this is true, but as we have already mentioned, for the apparent manifestation of this Nikah, which was announced in the heavens, there was a condition stipulated by God, which was published at that tie too and it is O Lady! Repent! Repent! For affliction shall befall your children.(Haqiqatul Wahi)

The final allegation on this prophecy is unmarried or a widow.

The revelation was

The meaning of this revelation in light of the above-mentioned verse is that ‘after’ Muhammadi Begum becomes a widow (if her father and husband does not repent), she would be married to the Promised Messiah (as).

This was regarding a virgin and a widow to enter wedlock with Ahmad(as). The virgin was Hazrat Nusrat Jahan (ra) and regarding the widow Ahmad(As) wrote that Muhammadi Begum would enter in marriage with him unless her father gets her married elsewhere, and if that be the case, her father would die of three years of that marriage and then her husband given if they don’t repent. The father of Muhammadi begum got her married elsewhere, and in six months he died even though his health was not bad. Seeing this, her newly wed husband became fearful for his life, and the majority of that family repented, He would have died as well, and then as a widow Muhammadi Begum would have entered in wedlock with Ahmad(As). However, after this Ahmad(as) was revealed that he himself would pass away before Nusrat Jahan(ra) who was his the virgin mentioned, as a widow. This way the virgin and a widow revelation would be fulfilled in a single person, and it did in this exact manner. What makes this prophecy a miracle is that all of
.this was foretold before the events

Mans Language Different Than Revelation?

All prophets come and speak in the language of the people they are sent to. Allah tells us :

And We did raise among every people a Messenger, preaching: ‘Worship Allah and shun the Evil One.’ Then among them were some whom Allah guided and among them were some who became deserving of ruin. So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who treated the Prophets as liars!(Chapter 16 verse 37

All prophets speak the language of the people whom they are sent to and this is common sense, or how else would the people understand what they said? The Holy prophet(saw) was sent to the entire mankind but during his area the language was indeed Arabic so Allah revealed in Arabic. During the time of Ahmad(as) the languages were much more so Allah spoke to him in several languages. Is one amazed that Allah knows more then Arabic? Only an ignorant Muslim would have such a feeling that Allah is unable to speak English or Farsi. All prophets speak to the people in their languages for example when Moses(as) and Yusuf(as) were sent mainly for the Jews, they would speak in their language and to the Egyptians in their language. Ahmad(as) is basically saying that prophets have to receive revelations in their language or how would the people understand. It is indeed absurd if all of the prophets revelation was to come in a language other than what he knew but Ahmad(as) did not have this rather he had a minority of revelations in the languages he did not understand and Allah made it clear that he can indeed speak in any language he wants to. There is no room for allegations in this. Even if Ahmad(as) was unaware that Allah would reveal in other languages, Allah had shown him right away that He indeed does speak in any language He desires. Here is the context which makes it clear as he was referring to Muhammad(saw):

Ahmad(as) also states:

“This is a strange matter that some of the sentences of revelation from God do not apparently follow the man-made rules of syntax and morphology, but with slight concentration it can be brought into conformity. It is for this reason that some ignorant people have made criticisms on the Holy Qur’an based on their fictitious grammar, but all such criticisms are outrageous. Knowledge of language is known to God the All-Knowing; not anyone else. And language that changes according to place likewise changes according to time. If today’s Arabic expressions in Egypt, Mecca, Madina, Persia and others are analyzed, then these expressions are apparently uprooting all of the rules of Arabic syntax and morphology. It is possible that such expressions have been used in the past as well. So there is no obstacle in Gods revelation that some of its sentences be in line with past or present expressions (Ruhani Khazain, Volume 18, Page 436, Nuzulul Masih, page 58)

In this condition, I received a revelation of which I could only remember one phrase. Since the revelation descended at a very fast speed like the flash of lightning, the remainder could not be preserved. (Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, al-Badr February 27 1903)

He(as) also states:

“Other than this, sometimes the revelation is being received in a foreign tongue, of which this humble one is wholly unacquainted, and then that revelation being based upon prophecy is among miraculous wonders which point towards the vast powers of Allah. Although all the words of a foreign tongue are not preserved, and because of the speed of the revelation, and being unaware of the speed of the revelation, and being unaware of the language and dialect, some deviation occurs, but there is usually less deviance in the sentences which are clear and uncomplicated. It also so happens that because of the swiftness of the revelation being received, some of the words are not preserved in memory, but when a sentence is repeated twice or thrice, then the words become well remembered. At the time of revelation, God works through his special faculty in which there is no use of external or internal means. At that time, the tongue is a tool in the hand of God. He uses it in whichever and in whatever way He chooses. Many times it happens that the words come forcefully and with haste, and sometimes as though someone takes a step with grace and dignity and then halts before taking the next step and shows his class in walking. The wisdom in adopting these two manners is so that there may be a clear difference between heavenly revelation and thoughts of the self and from Satan and so that the revelation from God may be immediately recognized by virtue of its majesty and beauty (Ruhani Khazain, volume 1 pages 570-571, Brahin-e-Ahmadiyya part 4, pages 479-480)

Ahmad(as) himself made it clear that these revelations are forgotten and sometimes a slight departure from the pronunciation. He(as) further states:

“As these revelations are in a foreign tongue and revelation comes fast, it is possible that there may be a slight departure from the pronunciation. (Ruhani Khazain Volume 22, page 317, Haqiqatul Wahi page 304)

He(as) also states:

“Thereafter, two English phrases were revealed of the correct wording of which I am still not sure on account of the speed of the revelation. They are: I love you. I shall give you a large party of Islam” [Barahin-e-Ahmadiyyah, part 4, p. 556 sub-footnote 4, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 1, p. 664 sub-footnote 4 See also Barahin-e-Ahmadiyyah, part 5, p. 80, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 21, p. 105]

He(as) also states in regards to the same issue:

“In the course of this week some phrases in English and other languages have been revealed to me…which are: [Pression, ‘Umar, Bratos or Platos] The speed of revelation left some of these words indistinct. It is not clear whether it [the last word] is Bratos or Platos. ‘Umar is an Arabic word. We need to enquire into the linguistic origin and meanings of Bratos and Pression.”(Maktubat Ahmadiyya Volume 1, Pages 68-69)

English Revelation Allegations

Firstly, the allegation on revelations is not something new, rather this was an allegation used against other prophets as well. Allah states in Chapter 11 Verse 92:

They replied, ‘O Shu‘aib, we do not understand much of that which thou sayest, and surely, we see that thou art weak among us. And were it not for thy tribe, we would surely stone thee. And thou holdest no strong position among us.’(Chapter 11 Verse 92)

Let us first make it clear that many non Ahmadis have the misconception that it is not possible for a prophet to forget when this is not true at all. There is a possibility that a prophet may forget. Here are the proofs of a prophet forgetting:

Hadhrat Adam(as)’s incident of forgetting mentioned in Qur’an:

And verily, We had made a covenant with Adam beforehand, but he forgot, and We found in him no determination to disobey.(Chapter 20 verse 116)

An incident of Moses(as) forgetting in the Qur’an:

But when they reached the place where the two seas met, they forgot their fish, and it made its way into the sea going away swiftly. And when they had gone further, he said to his young companion: ‘Bring us our morning meal. Surely, we have suffered much fatigue on account of this journey of ours.’(Chapter 18 verse 62-63)

Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) could forget according to the Qur’an and has made mistakes:

We shall teach thee the Qur’an, and thou shalt forget it not, Except as Allah wills. Surely, He knows what is open and what is hidden.(Chapter 87 verses 7-8)

He frowned and turned aside, Because there came to him the blind man. And what makes thee know that he may be seeking to purify himself, Or he may take heed and the Reminder may benefit him? As for him who is disdainfully indifferent. Unto him thou dost pay attention,(Chapter 80 verse 2-7)

Another incident from the life of the Prophet(saw) in Qur’an:

O Prophet! why dost thou forbid thyself that which Allah has made lawful to thee, seeking the pleasure of thy wives? And Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.(Chapter 66 verse 2)

Now let us go to the Ahadith and see some mistakes in the lifetime of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(Saw). In fact there is an entire book in Sahih Bukhari that is named after forgetfulness in prayer. Here is one example:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) offered one of the evening prayers (the sub-narrator Muhammad said, “I think that it was most probably the `Asr prayer”) and he finished it after offering two rak`at only. He then stood near a price of wood in front of the Mosque and put his hand over it. Abu Bakr and `Umar were amongst those who were present, but they dared not talk to him about that (because of excessive respect for him), and those who were in a hurry went out. They said, “Has the prayer been reduced?” A man who was called Dhul-Yadain by the Prophet (ﷺ) said (to the Prophet), “Has the prayer been reduced or have you forgotten?” He said, “Neither have I forgotten, nor has the prayer been reduced.” He said, “Certainly you have forgotten.” So the Prophet (ﷺ) offered two more rak`at and performed Taslim and then said Takbir and performed a prostration of Sahu like his ordinary prostration or a bit longer and then raised his head and said Takbir and then put his head down and performed a prostration like his ordinary prostration or a bit longer, and then raised his head and said Takbir.(Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, Book 22, Hadith #321)

Here is another example:

Narrated Aisha:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) heard a man reciting the Qur’an at night, and said, “May Allah bestow His Mercy on him, as he has reminded me of such-and-such Verses of such-and-such Suras, which I was caused to forget.(Volume 6, Book 61, Hadtih #558)

Some say the Prophet Muhammad(Saw) is not able to misinterpret but he has and its a clear fact that he has. In Bukhari it is narrated:

Narrated Abu Musa:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “I saw in a dream that I was migrating from Mecca to a land where there were date palm trees. I thought that it might be the land of Al-Yamama or Hajar, but behold, it turned out to be Yathrib (i.e. Medina). And I saw cows (being slaughtered) there, but the reward given by Allah is better (than worldly benefits). Behold, those cows proved to symbolize the believers (who were killed) on the Day (of the battle) of Uhud, and the good (which I saw in the dream) was the good and the reward and the truth which Allah bestowed upon us after the Badr battle. (or the Battle of Uhud) and that was the victory bestowed by Allah in the Battle of Khaibar and the conquest of Mecca(Bukhari, Vol. 9, Book 87, Hadith 159)

Here the Prophet(saw) misinterpreted revelation as well, and there is nothing wrong with this.

The Prophet(saw) did not forget the Qur’an when it was being revealed this was much later showing forgetfulness is normal.

Many prophets have forgotten as I have now shown so according to the non Ahmadi logic would they be false? Firstly let me make it clear that these revelations were from Allah but Ahmad(as) did not write them down the same instance they came down and its possible for prophets of Allah to forget. Most of the English revelations have nothing wrong in them as Ahmad(as) remembers them clearly.

Ahmad(as) states: As these revelations are in a foreign tongue and revelation comes fast, it is possible that there may be a slight departure from the pronunciation. It has also been observed that sometimes the Divine word does not follow human idiom or follows an archaic idiom and sometimes does not even follow the rules of grammer. There are several instances in the Holy Qur’an(i.e ان هذين لساحرين Chapter 20 Verse 64) Where in the verse the prevailing usage by men calls for ان هذين (Ruhani Khazain, Volume 22, page 317, Haqeeqatul Wahi page 304)

A hadith states in regards to even the revelation given to the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) narrated in Bukhari :

Narrated Said bin Jubair:

Ibn ‘Abbas in the explanation of the statement of Allah “Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran) to make haste therewith.” (75.16) said “Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) used to bear the revelation with great trouble and used to move his lips (quickly) with the Inspiration.” Ibn ‘Abbas moved his lips saying, “I am moving my lips in front of you as Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) used to move his.” Said moved his lips saying: “I am moving my lips, as I saw Ibn ‘Abbas moving his.” Ibn ‘Abbas added, “So Allah revealed ‘Move not your tongue concerning (the Qur’an) to make haste therewith. It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad) the ability to recite it (the Quran)’ (75.16-17) which means that Allah will make him (the Prophet) remember the portion of the Qur’an which was revealed at that time by heart and recite it. The statement of Allah: ‘And when we have recited it to you (O Muhammad through Gabriel) then you follow its (Quran) recital’ (75.18) means ‘listen to it and be silent.’ Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you’ (75.19) means ‘Then it is (for Allah) to make you recite it (and its meaning will be clear by itself through your tongue). Afterwards, Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) used to listen to Gabriel whenever he came and after his departure he used to recite it as Gabriel had recited it.”(Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 1, Hadith #4)

This hadith illustrates exactly what Ahmad(as) has stated. The reason the Prophet Muhammad(saw) would repeat the Qur’an is so he would keep the revelation in the exact form and way it was revealed in by Allah.

One has to remember this is after the revelation came to him. They were written much later.

Some of the allegation they have do not have any basis to them anyways as many words used are synonyms for others. For example:

“God is coming by His army”

The word ‘by’ is also used in the English language to denote ‘together with’ or ‘in company with’. (See Dialect Dictionary by Joseph Wright, page 470) [Jalal-ud-Din Shams]

Even when we look at the The Concise Oxford Dictionary of English Etympology we see that under the word “by” they have written “alongside; in the course of; according to; in relation to; marking the means or instrument (ult. superseding from, through …”

The official Seadict online dictionary also agrees and has alongside as a synonym for by. It states:

In fact, even the online most widely used thesaurus, agrees that there is nothing wrong with the revelations of the Promised Messiah(as). Do the non Ahmadi Muslims think they know better English than all of these dictionaries? It states:

The meaning would possibly be that Allah is coming alongside His army.

Another allegation comes on the revelation of :

“He halts in the zilla Peshawar”

Anti Ahmadis say why does an English revelation have an urdu word? This is because of their ignorance. The word ‘zilla’ is used in English. See Public Service Inquiries Act Section 8 and the Punjab Courts Act, (published by Shamir Chand) Article 23. See also Oxford Dictionary under ‘zilla’. [Jalal-ud-Din Shams]

Furthermore, the Oxford Advanced Learner’s dictionary has also stated that Zilla refers to a district which has its own local government.

Just to make it clear, the anti Ahmadis mock the revelations although there is nothing wrong with them, but there is a possibility of forgetfulness. We have to remember that our knowledge is still limited but the knowledge of Allah is not limited at all, and we should not criticize His Words.

Another English revelation which is criticized is :

“Though all men should be angry but God is with you. He shall help you. Words of God not can exchange” The truth behind this revelation is that there was an error in the scribe as it has been recorded as well in Tadhkirah earlier on page 123 where it has been stated:

Though all men should be angry but God is with you. He shall help you. Words of God can not exchange

(Some have mocked the usage of the word exchange but do not realize that exchange is a synonym for change as well, and in fact it is the first synonym stated by the most famous thesaurus used worldwide.

The Online Etymology Dictionary of the English language also states:

change (n.)c.1200, “act or fact of changing,” from Anglo-French chaunge, Old French change “exchange, recompense, reciprocation,” from changier (see change (v.)).

Meaning “a different situation” is from 1680s. Meaning “something substituted for something else” is from 1590s. The financial sense of “balance returned when something is paid for” is first recorded 1620s; hence to make change (1865). Bell-ringing sense is from 1610s. Related: changes. Figurative phrase change of heart is from 1828.change (v.)early 13c., “to substitute one for another; to make (something) other than what it was” (transitive); from late 13c. as “to become different” (intransitive), from Old French changier“to change, alter; exchange, switch,” from Late Latin cambiare “to barter, exchange,” from Latin cambire “to exchange, barter,” of Celtic origin, from PIE root *kemb- “to bend, crook” (with a sense evolution perhaps from “to turn” to “to change,” to “to barter”); cognate with Old Irish camm “crooked, curved;” Middle Irish cimb “tribute,” cimbid“prisoner;” see cant (n.2). Meaning “to take off clothes and put on other ones” is from late 15c. Related: Changed; changing. To change (one’s) mind is from 1610s.

Another revelation which people have often criticized is :

[English] You have to go Amritsar;

There is also nothing wrong with this and just shows the emphasis Allah has put on Ahmad(as) going to Amritsar. Furthermore, a revelation which also states similar has been recorded as :

[English] Then will you go to Amritsar([Barahin-e-Ahmadiyyah, part 4, pp. 469–470 sub-footnote 3, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 1, pp. 559–561 sub-footnote 3]

So even if there was an error in noting down the revelation, Ahmad(as) was previously revealed similar and has clearly written the word to before Amritsar.

The next two revelations which are mocked are [English] I can what I will do and [English] We can what We will do. Firstly as explained earlier it is possible that there was forgetfulness involved as Ahmad(as) did not know the language of English. However, even if one focuses on these revelations they are simply stating that Allah knows what He will do and that We know what we will do. When we look at the Online Etympology dictionary and focus on what they have written for the word “can” it makes perfect sense. It is written:

“can (v.1) Old English 1st & 3rd person singular present indicative of cunnan “know, have power to, be able,” (also “to have carnal knowledge”), from Proto-Germanic *kunnan “to be mentally able, to have learned” (cognates: Old Norse kenna “to know, make known,” Old Frisian kanna “to recognize, admit,” German kennen “to know,” Gothic kannjan “to make known”), from PIE root *gno- (see know). Absorbing the third sense of “to know,” that of “to know how to do something” (in addition to “to know as a fact” and “to be acquainted with” something or someone). An Old English preterite-present verb, its original past participle, couth, survived only in its negation (see uncouth), but see also could. The present participle has spun off as cunning”

The last revelation which is mocked at is “I am quarreler”. Ahmad(as) stated that he understood this to mean that he would receive a letter relating to some dispute. This was a prophecy which was fulfilled and the full context is as follows:

Some time back … a gentleman named Nur Ahmad, who is both a hafiz and a haji and perhaps also knows some Arabic and preaches from the Holy Qur’an and lives in Amritsar, came to Qadian in the course of his wanderings…. Since he was staying with me, and had expressed to me in very strong words the opinion about revelation which he entertained, I felt much aggrieved by it. I tried in every possible manner to convince him of his misconception but my reasoning had no effect upon him. Then I turned to Allah the Almighty and told Hafiz [Nur Ahmad] that I would supplicate to Allah the Noble, and would not be surprised if some prophecy might be made of which he might himself see the fulfilment. Accordingly, I made my supplication that night and towards the morning I saw in my vision a letter which had arrived by post on which there was a superscription in English: I am quarreller. And another in Arabic:

And I also received these words by way of revelation as if they had been addressed to me by the writer of the letter. Then the vision ended. Since I do not have any knowledge of the English language, I informed Miyań Nur Ahmad of this vision and revelation and enquired from someone who was conversant with English what the meaning of the English superscription was. He explained that it meant that the writer was a disputant. From this brief sentence I understood clearly that I was about to receive a letter relating to some dispute. I conceived that the Arabic subscription which was the next sentence written by the scribe meant that the writer of the letter had written it in connection with some evidence relating to a dispute. It so happened that Hafiz Nur Ahmad was not able to leave for Amritsar that day on account of heavy rain. His inability to leave because of a heavenly cause was in fact an intimation of the acceptance of my prayer so that, as I had supplicated, he himself might witness the fulfillment of the prophecy. In short, the entire prophecy was narrated to him. In the afternoon, in his presence, I received a registered letter from the Reverend Rajab ‘Ali, owner and manager of the Safir Hind Press, Amritsar, reporting that he had instituted a suit against his scribe, who is also the scribe of this book, in the Small Causes Court and had given my name as a witness. At the same time I received summons from the court. The interpretation of the Arabic subscription —which means that ‘this witness is shattering’—then became patent inasmuch as the proprietor of the Safir Hind Press was absolutely certain that my testimony, which he was sure would be in accord with the facts, would prove destructive for the defendant on account of its weight, truth, and reliability. That is why the proprietor of the Press had me summoned as a witness. It so happened that the day on which this prophecy was fulfilled was also the day on which the other prophecy mentioned above was also fulfilled. Thus, Miyań Nur Ahmad witnessed the fulfillment of that prophecy also. That is to say, money was received on that day after the expiry of the period of ten days and I was summoned and had to go to Amritsar [Allah be praised for all this.] [Barahin-e-Ahmadiyyah, part 4, pp. 471–474 sub-footnote 3, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 1, pp. 562–565 sub-footnote 3]

Lastly just because a revelation is misunderstood in your eyes and seems as if its not following the rules of grammar does not make it incorrect. There are English men who are known to have the best poetry like Shakespeare and even his works do not follow the grammar rules. Majority of the English revelations have no errors and even if they did its possible Ahmad(as) forgot as he did not know this language properly and wrote these revelations way after they came to him. One should also remember that there have been Arab speaking people who have accused many ayahs of the Qur’an as well and believed they should have been revealed in different ways. One should know that Allah Has the best way and as Muslims we should be the last to accuse his ways. However, it was a prophecy of Muhammad(saw) that Muslims would indeed become like the Jews and would begin to follow the Christians as well cubit by cubit. The Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) stated:

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “You will follow the ways of those nations who were before you, span by span and cubit by cubit (i.e., inch by inch) so much so that even if they entered a hole of a mastigure, you would follow them.” We said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! (Do you mean) the Jews and the Christians?” He said, “Whom else?” (Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 92, Hadith #422)

It is indeed not shocking that many Muslims have indeed become like the Jews and the Christians and have went to the extent that they have begun to question and mock the revelation of Allah rather than researching Ahmad(as)’s claim and the service he did for mankind and Islam. No one defended Islam since the Prophet Muhammad(saw)’s time, like Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) of Qadian. He was indeed the greatest lover of Muhammad(saw).

Yalash?

I shall answer this allegation with the words of Ahmad(As) himself. Ahmad(As) states:

“This is a revealed new word which is not found in this form in the Qur’an or hadith or in any dictionary. It has been disclosed to me that it connotes [ya la sharik] [O You without an associate]. The purpose of this revelation is that no human being possesses a quality or a name or performs any action which is peculiar to Him and is not to be found in any other. That is why the qualities and the miracles of every Prophet are displayed, by way of reflection, by some of his selected followers who have a perfect spiritual relationship with him, lest the ignorant ones should hold a Prophet to be without an associate because of some uniqueness. To call a Prophet Yalash would amount to utter disbelief.”([Tohfah Golarhviyyah, p. 69 footnote) Yalash means without an Associate, so as a Sunni do you not believe Allah can be called that? Do not restrict Allah to 99 names. 99 Names are from the Quran but Allah has many more names and has been called more names by Muhammad(Saw) himself.

Thy Throne Has Been Laid Above All Others?

This is another allegation which can only be quoted, by such people who haven’t read the Qur’an properly. The Holy Qur’an states:

O children of Israel! remember My favour which I bestowed upon you and that I exalted you above the peoples.(Chapter 2 verse 48)

Now does this ayah mean that they were better than the ummah of Muhammad(saw)? Of course not as we know our nation is the best of mankind as Allah states:

You are the best people raised for the good of mankind; you enjoin what is good and forbid evil and believe in Allah. And if the People of the Book had believed, it would have surely been better for them. Some of them are believers, but most of them are disobedient.(Chapter 3 verse 111)

The next ayah also talks about Ishmael, Elisha, and Jonah and Lot being exalted above the people but this does not make them better than Ibrahim(as) or the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) rather only refers to their individual timings which they were sent in.

And We also guided Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot; and each one did We exalt above the people.(Chapter 6 verse 87)

Allah also states:

Allah did choose Adam and Noah and the family of Abraham and the family of ‘Imran above all peoples —(Chapter 3 verse 34)

In no way does this state that they were above The Holy Prophet(saw). This only refers to their times and this ayah in general despite using all excludes the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw).

Ahmad(As) states about Muhammad(Saw) that:
My orchard is sayings of Ahmad(saw)
How beautiful is this name Ahmad(saw)
There may be prophets innumerable
Above all is the station of Ahmad(Saw) (referring to Muhammad(Saw) whose second name was Ahmad)

Ahmad(As) explained another revelation that it refers to him being senior to all those persons in his time (Arbain, pg 9, pg 11)

Black Stone?

“Somebody kissed my foot in a DREAM, I said I am the black stone

Ahmad(As)said that I am that Hajar-i-Asward that has been accepted on this earth by the people and is touched by them for blessings (Istifta pg 41)

In the footnote Ahmad(As) states that the interpreters of dreams say that the black stone in a DREAM means a scholar, a jurist, and an earned man.

The Holy Prophet(Saw) said to Ali that O Ali, you are like the Ka’ba. Such are not to be taken literal rather metaphorical and this was a dream so your allegation is baseless just like the rest

Die In Mecca Or Medina?

This allegation is brought up by non Ahmadi Muslims many times and its sad that they do not even read the entire prophecy nor understand it.

The prophecy sent to Ahmad(As) by Allah was :

Translation: (1) [Arabic] Allah has decreed since eternity that He and His Messengers shall prevail. (2) [Arabic] God, the Merciful, says that there is peace, meaning that ‘you will not
die in disappointment or defeat.’ (3) [Urdu] I shall die in Mecca or in Medina.

Explanation from the Messiah(as) himself:

This sentence ‘I shall die in Mecca or in Medina’ means that before my death I shall be bestowed a victory like that of Mecca. That is to say as the Holy Prophet(sa) had vanquished his enemies through the manifestation of the majestic Signs of Allah, so will it happen now. The second meaning is that before my death, I shall be bestowed a victory like that of Medina which means that people’s hearts will of their own be inclined towards me. The phrase: [Allah has decreed, I and My Messengers shall prevail]points to a victory like that of Mecca and the phrase: [Peace is the word from the Merciful Lord] points to a victory like that of Medina.

This prophecy was beautifully fulfilled. When one looks at the success of the jamaat itself it becomes evident.

Here is a picture of what Ahmad(as)said and his explanation as i’ve written above:

Why don’t they read the entire prophecy in context and read what Ahmad(as) wrote? The truth is indeed clear that the lies of Anti Ahmadis will never prevail, rather Allah’s prophet will prevail as he has for the past 125 years.

Qur’an Is God’s Book and Words of my Mouth?

This is out of context from a long revelation. Allah is talking about himself this isn’t about the Messiah(as). Allah is saying this to the Messiah(as). First of all this has been clarified by the messiah(As) himself badr vol6 number 28 july 11 1907 page 6 the Messiah(As) says he was asked who is the subject indicated by the word my in this revelation. Promised Messiah(As) said this means the words of Allahs mouth.

In Quran the same way things are said for example in Surah al Fatiha :

Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help (Chapter 1 verse 5)

Now does this mean that Allah is God forbid saying that He only worships Muhammad(Saw) and implores him for help? Of course not. Anyone with even a little bit of Quranic understand would agree that this is not what the Qur’an states, nor what Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) has stated.

Again Allah States:

And Allah it is Who sends the winds which raise the clouds; then do We drive them to a lifeless tract of land, and quicken thereby the earth after its death. Likewise shall the Resurrection be.(Chapter 35 Verse 10)

Allah says Allahs sends the winds betrays the clouds then do we drive them to a lifeless track of land then quicken by their earth by its death likewise the resurrection be. It begins with Allah in third person by saying and Allah it is who sends the winds but then it switches by the third person by we drive them so your allegation is not really on Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) rather on how Allah has revealed for the past 1400 years.

The Promised Messiah(as) when asked about this revelation has explained this point himself in Badr Volume 6 no.28 July 11, 1907.

“The Promised Messiah (as) was asked who is the subject indicated by the word ‘My’ in the revelation: ‘The Holy Qur’an is the Book of God and is the word of My mouth,’ i.e., whose mouth is referred to. He said, ‘It means the words of Allah’s mouth. Allah the Almighty has said, ‘The words of My mouth.’ There are instances in the Holy Qur’an where different pronouns are used for the same subjects.

Qadian In The Qur’an?

These are the two allegations and are completely out of context and is as follows:

The Quran mentions the names of three cities: Mekkah, Medina, and Qadian.” (Khutba-Ilhamia, Roohany Khazaen, Vol. 16, P. 20)

“The Quran mentions the names of three cities with great respect: Mekkah, Medina, and Qadian.”

(Izala-ul-Autham, Roohany Khazaen, Vol. 3, P. 140, footnote; Footnote of Izala-ul-Autham, P. 34/77)

This is a part of the writings of Ahmad(As) but it has to be taken into its entirety to see its context. Ahmad(As) wrote:

The first statement in context:

At the time of this revelation, as i mentioned many times before, I was told in a state of a vision, that this relevation is written in the holy quran. And at that time in the vision I had this in my heart that three cities are mentioned in the quran: Makkah, Madinah and Qadian. This was about 20 years ago.“ (Khutba-Ilhamia Page 20)

Second statement in context:

The second refrence is as follows and mentions the whole story:
„ I saw in a Vision, that my brother Mirza Ghulam Qadir is sitting near me and reciting the holy quran loudly. During the recitation he reads „ Inna anzalnahu qariban min al qadian“. I was wondering that hwo comes the name of Qadian is written in the holy Quran? Than he pointed out to me and said: look here it is written. And i looked and found out that on the right page oft he holy quran perhaps in the middle this revelation was written. There i said in my heart, yes indeed the name of Qadian is mentioned in the Quran. And I said, there cities are mentioned … in the Quran. Makkah, Madinah and Qadian. And that was a Vision.“ (Izala Auham)

As the Name of Qadian is not written any where in Hadith or the Holy Qur’an…“(Izala Auhaam P. 139)

The allegation is that Ahmad(As) said the word Qadian is in the Quran. They claim that since Quran does not mention Qadian Ahmad(As) God forbid told a lie.

Sadly its clear that they have not read the entire passage and are just misleading people. May Allah guide them, amen. They say Ahmad(As) said Quran says the word Qadian. In Izala Auham Ahmad(As) clearly “the Name of Qadian is not written any where in Hadith or the holy Quran…“ (Izala Auham page 139)

The passage is that Ahmad(as) got a revelation stating:

That is [Arabic] We have caused these Signs and wonders and this revelation filled with points of wisdom and verity, to descend near Qadian. We have sent it down to satisfy a real need and it has descended to satisfy the real need and it has descended to satisfy the real need. The prophecy of Allah and his messenger has been fulfilled at its duly appointed time. Allah’s command was bound to be carried out.

He has explained it himself which the non Ahmadis ignore:

“Deep reflection on this revelation shows that the reference to Qadian in the revelation indicates that my appearance in Qadian had been foretold in previous scriptures. Now that this new revelation has shown that in Allah’s estimation Qadian resembles Damascus, the meanings of the earlier revelation has been clarified.… The interpretation is: We have sent it down close to Damascus on eastern side near the White Minaret”

“The last portion of the revelation indicates that the Holy Prophet(saw) had mentioned the appearance of this person in his hadith…and that God Almighty has also made reference to this in His Holy Word. The indication [by the Holy Prophet(sa)] has been mentioned among the revelations set out in part 3 and the indication in the Holy Qur’an is in the following verse :

He it is Who sent His Messenger with guidance and the Religion of Truth, that He might make it prevail over every other religion” (al-Taubah, 9:33; al-Fath, 48:29; al-Saff, 61:10)

Ahmad(as) further states:

The Sahih Muslim relates that the Messiah would descend near the white Minaret in the east of Damascus…. It has been disclosed to me by Allah that the interpretation of Damascus in this context is a town the dwellers of which have the temper of Yazid and the habits and thoughts of the wretched Yazid… It has been conveyed to me that by Damascus, therefore, is meant the place which possesses this well known characteristic of Damascus. By specifying Damascus as the place of the appearance of the Messiah, Allah the Almighty has indicated that by the [word] Messiah is not meant the first Messiah to whom the Gospel was revealed, but it refers to someone from among the Muslims who, in his spiritual aspect, would resemble the Messiah [Jesus] and also Imam Husain, for Damascus is the capital of Yazid and is the centre of the Yazidis from which proceeded thousands of tyrannical commands…. God Almighty, therefore, mentioned Damascus specifically for the purpose of indicating that whereas Damascus was the source of such tyrannical commands and was the city of such hard-hearted and black-minded people, now a city like Damascus will become the headquarters for spreading justice and faith, for most Prophets have appeared in towns whose people were wrongdoers and yet God has been converting the accursed places into homes of blessings. [Izala-e-Auham, pp. 63–70 footnote, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 3, pp. 134–136 footnote]

Ahmad(as) said Qadian has been called Damascus because Qadian has not been mentioned in Quran or Hadith. Ahmad(as) says in a STATE OF VISION. If its from Allah its called a dream, and sometimes in wakefulness you can also receive a glad tiding from Allah as this revelation was also, a kashuf. Ahmad(As) explains :

On the day, when the revelation just mentioned—referring to Qadian—was received, I saw my brother Mirza Ghulam Qadir in a vision reciting the Holy Qur’an aloud. In thecourse of recitation he recited: “We have sent it down close to Qadian” I expressed my surprise that the name of Qadian should be mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, on which he said: ‘Here it is, you can see.’ I looked and saw that this revelation was set out about the middle of the right page of the Holy Qur’an. Then I said to myself: ‘It is true that the name of Qadian is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an’ and I also said: ‘Three names are mentioned with honour in the Holy Qur’an: Mecca, and Medina, and Qadian.’ AND THAT WAS A VISION [Izala-e-Auham, pp. 76–77 footnote, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 3, p. 140 footnote]

Now one has to understand that there is a difference in saying something yourself and seeing something in a vision. Here are some examples from the Holy Quran. Allah states:

Remember the time when Joseph said to his father, ‘O my father, I saw in a dream eleven stars and the sun and the moon, I saw them making obeisance to me.’ He said, ‘O my darling son, relate not thy dream to thy brothers, lest they contrive a plot against thee; for Satan is to man an open enemy. (Chapter 12 verse 5-7)

Now will these anti Ahmadi also blame Joseph (As) for this vision? The stars and sun do not prostrate to humans rather to Allah alone. He narrated this dream to his father and he even had no objection to this vision. So were they lying? Did Joseph(as) lie to us God forbid? Will the anti Ahmadis raise this Allegation on Joseph(as) also?

In the same Surah, Allah states:

And with him there entered the prison two young men. One of them said, ‘I saw myself in a dream pressing wine.’ And the other said, ‘I saw myself in a dream carrying upon my head bread of which the birds are eating. Inform us of the interpretation thereof; for we see thee to be of the righteous.’(Chapter 12 verse 37)

These two people ask for the interpretation of the dream. They were in jail how can their dreams be physical? Yusuf(As) did not reply by saying no you are lying where is the bread or wine rather he interpreted the dreams by saying you will be saved and the bird one would be hanged. Even after he would be hanged the birds would not eat from his head. Allah explains this interpretation in the Quran and shows us don’t take these things physical.

In the same Surah in Verses 44-45 Allah states:

And the King said, ‘I see in a dream seven fat kine which seven lean ones eat up, and seven green ears of corn and seven others withered. O ye chiefs, explain to me the meaning of my dream if you can interpret a dream.’ They replied, ‘They are confused dreams, and we do not know the interpretation of such confused dreams.’ (Chapter 12 Verses 44-45)

The king also saw a vision where seven fat cows were being eaten by seven lean and seven green spikes of grain. Cows are not eaten by plants rather eat plants. Now do we say the king lied? Yusuf(As) heard this dream and did not say you lied rather he explained the dream. Allah did not mention the dream and say the king lied rather he explained the dream.

Allah also states:

When Allah showed them to thee in thy dream as few; and if He had shown them to thee as many, you would have surely faltered and would have disagreed with one another about the matter; but Allah saved you. Surely, He has full knowledge of what is in your breasts.(Chapter 8 Verse 44)

Allah showed the greatest prophet that these people were few in number. Now God forbid the ones who accused the vision of Ahmad(As) will they also accuse this? Allah has told us this dream in Quran that the things Allah shows in visions are not necessarily physical.

Another Hadith of Bukhari states:

Narrated Ubaidullah bin `Abdullah bin `Utba:

We were informed that Musailima Al-Kadhdhab had arrived in Medina and stayed in the house of the daughter of Al-Harith. The daughter of Al-Harith bin Kuraiz was his wife and she was the mother of `Abdullah bin ‘Amir. There came to him Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) accompanied by Thabit bin Qais bin Shammas who was called the orator of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ). Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) had a stick in his hand then. The Prophet (ﷺ) stopped before Musailima and spoke to him. Musailima said to him, “If you wish, we would not interfere between you and the rule, on condition that the rule will be ours after you… The Prophet said, “If you asked me for this stick, I would not give it to you. I think you are the same person who was shown to me in a dream. And this is Thabit bin Al-Qais who will answer you on my behalf.” The Prophet (ﷺ) then went away. I asked Ibn `Abbas about the dream Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) had mentioned. Ibn `Abbas said, “Someone told me that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “When I was sleeping, I saw in a dream that two gold bangles were put in my hands, and that frightened me and made me dislike them. Then I was allowed to blow on them, and when I blew at them, both of them flew. Then I interpreted them as two liars who would appear.’ One of them was Al-`Ansi who was killed by Fairuz in Yemen and the other was Musailima Al-Kadhdbab.”(Sahih Bukhari Vol. 5, Book 59, Hadith #662

Now we know that according to Islam wearing Gold is haram in Islam. Now will anti Ahmadis say that Muhammad(saw) did something haram God forbid? When Muhammad(saw) said this dream not a single sahabi mocked this dream or accused it. Rather Muhammad(saw) explained the vision and he explained the dream and interpreted it.

Ahmad(As) has also stated :

“At the time of this revelation, as I have written many times, through a state of vision I also got to know that this revelation is written in the Holy Qur’an and at the time, in the state of vision, I had the certain belief in my heart that in the Holy Quran there is the mention of three cities, i.e. Mecca and Medina and Qadian. It has been nearly 20 years since I wrote it in Braheen e Ahmadiyya. Now at the time of writing this magazine, it was made clear to me that whatever I wrote as a vision in Braheen e Ahmadiyya about Qadian, i.e. that it’s mention is in the Holy Quran, is correct in reality because it is a certain fact that the verse of the Holy Qur’an Chapter 17, verse 2:- “Glory be to him Who carried His servant by night from the sacred mosque to the divine mosque, the environs of which we have blessed” comprises of both the spatial and the temporal miraj and without this the miraj remains incomplete/flawed. Thus as according to the spatial journey, God Most High took the Holy Prophet may peace be upon him from the Sacred Mosque to the Baitul Muqaddas, similarly in accord with the temporal journey, his holiness was taken from the era of the magnificence (shaukat) of Islam, which was the time of the Holy Prophet may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, to the era of the blessings (barakaat) of Islam, which is the time of the Promised Messiah. Therefore, in keeping with the aspect that the visionary (kashfi) journey of the Holy Prophet may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him extends to the final era of Islam, Masjid-e- Aqsa means the mosque of the Promised Messiah which is situated in Qadian, relating to which in Braheen e Ahmadiyya, Allah says:

ومبرک وکل امر مبرک یجعل فیہ مبرک

and this word ‘mubarak’ which has occurred in the objective (accusative) and the subjective case is in accord with the verse بَارَكْنَا حَوْلَه of the Holy Qur’an. Therefore, there is no doubt that Qadian is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an as Allah Most High says:Glory be to Him Who carried His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Divine Mosque, the environs of which We have blessed (Khutbah Ilhamiyyah, Roohani Khazain Vol 16, pg 20-21. Footnote)

Tichi Tichi?

I should go into depth with this answer because this allegation is raised many times. First of all the word tichi tichi is a mockery by the other Muslims and never appears in the promised Messiah(As)’s book even once.

Promised Messiah(As) although once had a dream which was :“On the night prior to Friday March 3, 1905, at 1:35 a.m. I saw in my dream that I was facing lack of money and other great difficulties and was very anxious. I asked someone to draw up an Income and Expenditure Statement but no one paid any heed to what I had said. I saw someone who was preparing a statement of accounts and recognized him as Lachhmi Das, who was at one time Accounts Clerk in the Treasury at Sialkot. I tried to call him but he too did not come and ignored me. I felt that there was a large shortfall and there seems to be no way to make it up. In the meanwhile, I saw a righteous person of simple mien, simply clad who poured a handful of money into my lap and left so quickly that I could not even ask his name. But there was still a shortfall. Then another righteous person came whose face was lit up and who was also of simple appearance and who resembled a sufi of Kotla, who is probably named Karam Ilahi or Fadl Ilahi. He gave us some money by selling his shirt. He had the appearance of a human being but he seemed to belong to a different creation. He filled both his hands with money and poured it into my lap. This made a lot of money. I inquired his name and he said: What is there in a name? I have no name. I urged him to tell me his name and he said: Tichi.I was deeply moved that there are people in our Jama’at who contribute sogenerously and do not disclose their names. Then I said: He was not a man. He was an angel. When I saw a lot of money in front of me, I said: Out of it,I shall give to Manzur Muhammad’s wife, for she is in need. It was 1:30a.m. when I saw this dream.”

The name used is “tichi” and it was not an angel for sure it was a thought of the messiah(As) that it may be an angel and it is clear why if you read the dream but this angel was not revealing to messiah(As) as the anti Ahmadiyya say, the only angel that revealed to Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) is the same one that revealed to Muhammad(Saw) and other prophets. “In Punjabi, tichi means, exact time or, in other words, a person who comes exactly at the time of need.”

Promised Messiah(as) states the meaning himself, yet they mock but like always when you mock Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) you are mocking other prophets also which brings me to an incident of Moses(As)where an angel of death came to moses(As) and he punched it in the eye and it went to back to Allah in a uncompleted mission. If one raises an allegation on a name of SOMEONE who Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) thought could have been an angel look how much more can be said against angels, clearly there’s nothing wrong with both situations. The Problem with anti Ahmadiyya is they think Allah only speaks Arabic for some reason which is complete ignorance as he is all knowing and can speak any language.

The full Hadith where Moses(As) punched an angel is as follows:

The Angel of Death was sent to Moses when he came to Moses, Moses slapped him on the eye. The angel returned to his Lord and said, “You have sent me to a Slave who does not want to die.” Allah said, “Return to him and tell him to put his hand on the back of an ox and for every hair that will come under it, he will be granted one year of life.” Moses said, “O Lord! What will happen after that?” Allah replied, “Then death.” Moses said, “Let it come now.” Moses then requested Allah to let him die close to the Sacred Land so much so that he would be at a distance of a stone’s throw from it.” Abu Huraira added, “Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, ‘If I were there, I would show you his grave below the red sand hill on the side of the road.” (Sahih al Bukhari #3407, Book 60 Hadith 80 and Vol 4, book 55 Hadith #619)

Now according to the Anti Ahmadi logic Moses(as) would be known as a false prophet, God Forbid. They should remember that there are so many angels and we are not aware of all names. Some names would indeed sound strange to the people who are not familiar with religion. Secondly Ahmad(as) thought this was an angel and the meaning of tichi in punjabi is clear. How dare do the anti Ahmadis say Allah only knows one language?

Entered Into a Bargain With Thee?

Another allegation which is brought up a lot is that the sunnis claim : “God made a pledge of fealty at the hand of Mirza”

The real translation is that “I have entered into a bargain with thee, ie. Something was mine and thou wert made the owner of it and something was mine of which I became the owner. Thou also acknowledges and sayest that God has made a contract of exchange with me.” Its in line with the verse of the Quran which says :

They are the ones who turn to God in repentance, who worship Him, who praise Him, who go about in the land serving Him, who bow down to God, who prostrate themselves in prayer, who enjoin good and forbid evil, and who watch the limits set by Allah. And give glad tidings to those who believe.(Chapter 9 Verse 112)

The Heavens and the Earth Are With You

The entire revelation is as follows:

“I am pleased with you. I shall raise you towards Me. The heaven and the earth are with you as they are with Me”

The Promised Messiah(as) has himself explained this beautiful revelation in his own words where the revelation was taken from. The anti Ahmadis take things out of context and ignore all of his explanations and hide them because of their beauty. Ahmad(as) states:

Allah Praises You?

This is just another allegation which can only be raised from such a person who has no knowledge of the Holy Qur’an at all. The full allegation is basically that Allah has said that He praises or appreciates Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as). This allegation does not even have a right to be called an allegation but sadly is by the non Ahmadis.

When we look at the Holy Qur’an it clearly shows us that Allah sends blessings on us and appreciates as well.

In fact right from Surah Fatiha Allah states:

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred Thy displeasure, and those who have not gone astray.(Chapter 1 Verse 7)

Allah also States:

He it is Who sends blessings on you, as do His angels, that He may bring you forth from all kinds of darkness into light. And He is Merciful to the believers.(Chapter 33 Verse 44)

Allah also States:

And as for the foremost among the believers, the first of the Emigrants and the Helpers, and those who followed them in the best possible manner, Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him; and He has prepared for them Gardens beneath which flow rivers. They will abide therein for ever. That is the supreme triumph(Chapter 9 Verse 100)

Allah further States:

Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even though they be their fathers, or their sons or their brethren, or their kindred. These are they in whose hearts Allah has inscribed true faith and whom He has strengthened with inspiration from Himself. And He will make them enter Gardens through which streams flow. Therein will they abide. Allah is well pleased with them, and they are well pleased with Him. They are Allah’s party. Hearken ye O people! it is Allah’s party who will be successful.(Chapter 58 Verse 23)

We find similar examples in the sayings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) as well:

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “While a man was on the way, he found a thorny branch of a tree there on the way and removed it. Allah thanked him for that deed and forgave him.” (Sahih Bukhari Volume 3, Book 43, Hadith #652)

Here a man found a thorny branch of a tree and he removed it which was a good deed done by him and in reply Allah thanked him. So we see that such things are actually normal and there is no room left for this allegation.
