Welcome to Ahmadi Answers

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the only Islamic organization to believe that the long-awaited Messiah has come in the person of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) (1835-1908) of Qadian. Ahmad(as) claimed to be the metaphorical second coming of Jesus(as) of Nazareth and the divine guide, whose advent was foretold by the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad(saw). We believe that according to the Qur’an and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad(saw) it is clear that the latter day messiah would be an imam from amongst the Muslims. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community believes that God sent Ahmad(as), like Jesus(as), to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and re-institute morality, justice and peace. Ahmad(as)’s advent has brought about an unprecedented era of Islamic revival. He divested Islam of fanatical beliefs and practices by vigorously championing Islam’s true and essential teachings.

Thy Throne Has Been Laid Above All Others?

This is another allegation which can only be quoted, by such people who haven’t read the Qur’an properly. The Holy Qur’an states:

O children of Israel! remember My favour which I bestowed upon you and that I exalted you above the peoples.(Chapter 2 verse 48)

Now does this ayah mean that they were better than the ummah of Muhammad(saw)? Of course not as we know our nation is the best of mankind as Allah states:

You are the best people raised for the good of mankind; you enjoin what is good and forbid evil and believe in Allah. And if the People of the Book had believed, it would have surely been better for them. Some of them are believers, but most of them are disobedient.(Chapter 3 verse 111)

The next ayah also talks about Ishmael, Elisha, and Jonah and Lot being exalted above the people but this does not make them better than Ibrahim(as) or the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) rather only refers to their individual timings which they were sent in.

And We also guided Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot; and each one did We exalt above the people.(Chapter 6 verse 87)

Allah also states:

Allah did choose Adam and Noah and the family of Abraham and the family of ‘Imran above all peoples —(Chapter 3 verse 34)

In no way does this state that they were above The Holy Prophet(saw). This only refers to their times and this ayah in general despite using all excludes the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw).

Ahmad(As) states about Muhammad(Saw) that:
My orchard is sayings of Ahmad(saw)
How beautiful is this name Ahmad(saw)
There may be prophets innumerable
Above all is the station of Ahmad(Saw) (referring to Muhammad(Saw) whose second name was Ahmad)

Ahmad(As) explained another revelation that it refers to him being senior to all those persons in his time (Arbain, pg 9, pg 11)
