Welcome to Ahmadi Answers

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the only Islamic organization to believe that the long-awaited Messiah has come in the person of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) (1835-1908) of Qadian. Ahmad(as) claimed to be the metaphorical second coming of Jesus(as) of Nazareth and the divine guide, whose advent was foretold by the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad(saw). We believe that according to the Qur’an and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad(saw) it is clear that the latter day messiah would be an imam from amongst the Muslims. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community believes that God sent Ahmad(as), like Jesus(as), to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and re-institute morality, justice and peace. Ahmad(as)’s advent has brought about an unprecedented era of Islamic revival. He divested Islam of fanatical beliefs and practices by vigorously championing Islam’s true and essential teachings.

Life Cycle Of Isa(as)

“And peace was on me the day I was born, and peace there will be on me the day that I shall die, and the day I shall be raised up to life again”(Chapter 19 Verse 34)

This verse has highlighted the events of the Prophet Isa(as)’s life and three things are mentioned. These are his birth, death and then resurrection. If his physical ascension had any proof to it, then why would Allah not say born, raised to heavens, die, and then raised? Clearly Allah has never mentioned Isa(As) being raised to the heavens anywhere in the entire Quran nor in the authentic narrations. Some ignorant Muslims have sadly used the argument that it stated the day I shall die which means Isa(as) has not died yet but this is yet again another flawed argument as the same Arabic is used for Yahya(as) so according to them Yahya(as) would also have to be alive.

Allah states:

And peace was on him the day he was born, and the day he died, and peace there will be on him the day he will be raised up to life again.(Chapter 19 Verse 16)

The same exact Arabic is used for the life of Yahya(as). We should keep in mind that this was Isa(As)’s words which he once spoke which Allah revealed to Nabi(saw) so of course they would be in the future tense. It’s a weak argument as if someone quoting this ayah:

“And remember when Jesus Son of Mary Said “O Children of Israel Surely I am Allah’s Messenger unto you fulfilling that which is before me of the Torah and giving glad tidings of a messenger who will come after me”(Chapter 61 Verse 7)

This is also in the present tense. Allah makes it clear that both statements were said by Isa(as). According to the non Ahmadi argument technique Nabi(saw) has not come yet because Isa(As) says I am giving glad tidings of a messenger who will come after me and since its present tense and isa(As) is speaking of the future, it has not happened yet according to their argumentation. Allah also states:

“Surely thou wilt die, and surely they too will die”(Chapter 39 Verse 31)

According to the sunni argumentation of the ayah above no one has died yet as the ayah says thou Wilt die. Point being is prophecies are always made in future tense and this does not mean they have not been fulfilled. This is completely incorrect as the ayah in regards to the life of Yahya(as) also shows us.
