Welcome to Ahmadi Answers

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the only Islamic organization to believe that the long-awaited Messiah has come in the person of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) (1835-1908) of Qadian. Ahmad(as) claimed to be the metaphorical second coming of Jesus(as) of Nazareth and the divine guide, whose advent was foretold by the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad(saw). We believe that according to the Qur’an and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad(saw) it is clear that the latter day messiah would be an imam from amongst the Muslims. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community believes that God sent Ahmad(as), like Jesus(as), to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and re-institute morality, justice and peace. Ahmad(as)’s advent has brought about an unprecedented era of Islamic revival. He divested Islam of fanatical beliefs and practices by vigorously championing Islam’s true and essential teachings.

Distribution of Wealth

Another sign in this hadith is that the messiah(as) would distribute wealth. Now no one can state that this is literal as no one would reject wealth. Why would someone refuse to accept money? If the entire hadith is metaphorical why would the ending only be literal? This in reality refers to the Books of the Promised Messiah(as) compiled in Ruhani Khazain. These are the true treasures which the people reject and only read out of context to mock at the Promised Messiah(as). The wealth is referring to the knowledge and wisdom the Promised Messiah(as) has brought. He has written over 80 beautiful books and many other forms of literature which blow ones mind away.

Now the hadith is as follows:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “The Hour will not be established until the son of Mary descends amongst you as a just ruler, he will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the Jizya tax. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it (as charitable gifts).(Sahih Bukhari, Volume 3, Book 43, Hadith #656)

Firstly why do the non Ahmadi Muslims take breaking of the cross, and killing of the pigs all to be metaphorical, but when it comes to the money part they try and make it literal. Why do they pick and choose? If they want to take the money to be literal they should also accept that they do indeed believe that the Messiah would come and run around the world breaking every cross he sees and also kill every pig he sees, not realizing that more crosses would be made, and pigs would be born.

Now the non Ahmadi Muslims try to bring up other Ahadith which state that wealth would become abundant and overflowing but they do not even care to look at the chain of the hadith and how big of a gap there is in it. This is the problem with them today. They have given the Qur’an no value but have given the Ahadith the value of the Qur’an. They sadly believe any hadith is authentic but do not understand that only the Qur’an is hundred percent authentic, and that many ahadith are fabrications.

Now we come to the lack of knowledge of the non Ahmadi Muslims in regards to the Arabic language. They quote that the hadith states: لاَ يَقْبَلَهُ أَحَدٌ “Nobody will accept it”. They claim that because the word used is nobody, not a single person can be excluded and no one should accept the books of Ahmad(as). This is totally baseless and no argument is put forth.

A hadith in bukhari states:

Narrated Anas bin Malik:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Nobody who enters Paradise likes to go back to the world even if he got everything on the earth, except a Mujahid who wishes to return to the world so that he may be martyred ten times because of the dignity he receives (from Allah).”(Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 52, Hadith #72)

This hadith alone goes against everything the non Ahmadi Muslims try to say. Here the holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) also used the same word of “أَحَدٌ” but right after his statement he has clearly excluded the Mujahids. This itself shows that أَحَدٌ does not mean no one can be excluded.

Another Hadith states:

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Said ibn al-Musayyab said, “It is said that no-one except a hypocrite leaves the mosque after the call to prayer, except for someone who intends to return.”(Mutawatta Malik, Book 9 Hadith #59)

Here the same word is used again and right after حَدٌ the Prophet Muhammad(saw) clearly excluded the hypocrites which further breaks the argument of the non Ahmadi Muslims that no one would accept the Books of Ahmad(as) if it referred to them.
Again the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) states:

‘Abd Allah bin Umar reported the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) as saying “One should not milk the cattle of anyone without his permission. Does anyone of you like that any one approaches his corn cell and its storage is broken and then the corn scatters away? Likewise, the teats of their Cattle store their food. Therefore none of you should milk the cattle of anyone without his permission.”(Sunan Abi Dawud, #2623)

Here once again the Prophet(saw) said One should not milk the cattle of anyone but right after that, he has said without his permission. Furthermore, this does not include everyone either as another hadith states:

Narrated Samurah ibn Jundub:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: When one of you comes to the cattle, he should seek permission of their master if he is there; if he permits, he should milk (the animals) and drink. If he is not there, he should call three times. If he responds, he should seek his permission; otherwise, he may milk (the animals) and drink, but should not carry (with him).(Sunan Abi Dawud #2619)

The logic of the non Ahmadi Muslims would mean that the Prophet Muhammad(saw) using the wordأحدmeans that even the people who have permission should not milk the cattle and even the people who have followed the instructions of the Prophet(saw) which allow them to milk the animal, should still not do so. How erroneous. Clearly the people who follow the instructions of the Prophet(saw) are allowed by him to milk the animal.

They now try saying أحد cannot exclude anybody except if an exception is made. Here no exception is made:

Malik related to me from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “No one leaves Madina preferring to live elsewhere, but that Allah will give it better than him in place of him .”(Muwatta Malik, hadith #1606)
Here the Prophet(saw) stated that no one leaves Madina, preferring to live elsewhere but that Allah will give it better than him in a place of him. How about the disbelievers who do not believe in Allah? They are clearly not included in the word “أَحَدٌ”.

When the Prophet Muhammad(saw) left Medina, do the non Ahmadi Muslims believe someone better came in his place? Clearly they make self interpretations that have no basis. The Holy Prophet (saw) was the greatest of all mankind and when he left Medina no one better than him replaced him and never will anyone replace him. Clearly the word can mean all for example when used for Allah for saying He has no one as a partner. However, the word can also exclude people depending on the context and does not always include everyone when the word “nobody” is used. This word (أَحَدٌ) can exclude people as well.

The allegations of the non Ahmadi Muslims are more of a self interpretation of theirs. They do not have the knowledge of the Qur’an and Ahadith and make up statements which have no truth at all to them. The wealth indeed refers to the Books of Ahmad(as) and only the true believers accepted his books. Everyone else was misguided who had rejected them. The word أَحَدٌ only refers to the misguided people in this case and this is the true interpretation of the hadith. Never did we claim that أَحَدٌ does not mean no one when referring to the protection of Allah for example, however there are instances where it excludes people as well.
